Hi Shabby Creek readers!!! I am so excited to be here for a guest post today! I want to thank Gina for having me here today. I am so glad I can help me sweet friend, and speaking partner, out in her time of need! For those of you that don’t know me, I’m Jennifer Rizzo from Jenniferrizzo.com, where our summer project is renovating an entire house!
I wanted to show you how to make patriotic tea light holders, a really quick and easy project, for the 4th of July!
And when I saw quick and easy, I mean it! I found these great glass jar in the lighting aisle. They are actually globes for light fixtures, but you could use them for lots of things like vases. You could even add wire to hang them since they have a nice lip at the top.
I cut a strip of burlap, just big enough to fit around the jar with about an inch extra for overlap on the ends to hot glue them together.
I stenciled a little star on each one in red, white and blue cut out on some card stock.
After the paint dried, I broke out the hot glue gun and glued each strip to the jar and at the ends.
I added a citronella candle to keep the bugs away and they are ready for my 4th of July festivities!
Thank you so much for having me here today Gina! Feel free to stop over for a visit!
