Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea have not opened discussions about signing Paris Saint-Germain full-back Layvin Kurzawa.
The south-west London side are said to be looking for reinforcements for the left-back position after Ben Chilwell had to miss the rest of the season with a serious knee injury. British media claim that Chelsea are interested in loaning the 29-year-old full-back from PSG until the end of the season.
However, Italian reporter Romano took to social media to reveal that the Blues have yet to open any negotiations to sign Kurzawa this month.
Posting on Twitter, Romano wrote: ” Chelsea have not opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain or representatives of Layvin Kurzawa. Reportedly nothing serious as of today. Kurzawa has the opportunity to join clubs Premier League kit in January but there are no talks with Chelsea yet.”
Kurzawa , 29, has only made one appearance for PSG this season and is looking for a new club to get regular game time.
Chelsea were dealt a blow to their title hopes this past weekend when they were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City at The Etihad. That result helped Liverpool move up to second place and the Blues are now 13 points behind Man City.
