easy glitter garland

glitter garland

This year my holiday decorating budget is pretty much non-existent. I think I did squeeze about $20 out of our holiday funds, but these days Mr.Jackson just doesn’t go very far. No worries, though, because I’m all about gettin’ pretty on the cheap! I dreamed of a gorgeous, glittery holiday season – but the idea of glittering all that stuff kinda made me think again. Well until I remembered my favorite glitter go-to, specialty scrapbook paper, and decided to make some glitter garland.

garland $1 a sheet paper (found at Hobby Lobby during a 50% off sale) created all the glitter garland dots for my entire gallery wall, and it only took one sheet. I used a punch to create my circles (but you could use a craft cutter), regular sewing thread and some hot glue to put them together by sandwiching the thread inside glue between 2 dots. We strung them from the ceiling with simple thumbtacks – easy peasy!

glitter garlandGlitter Garland: A quick, easy & cheap project that brought a lotta holiday glitz & glam for only a buck.

That definitely makes for some holly, jolly decorating!

We are totally on the same page- the desire to decorate with glitter but no money to do it. This is a great idea! I feel silly for not thinking of it. We have a trip to Michael’s planned today so will pick me up some glitter paper. Thank you for the idea!
